Friction with tides slowing Earth's rotation

The Earth's rotation is slowing down marginally due to the friction between the Earth and the rising and falling tides in the oceans, caused due to the moon's gravity. Atomic clocks are used to measure the slowing of the Earth and it is estimated that in hundred year's time, a day will be about 2 milliseconds longer than today.
