From weapons to flowers: IPS officer Mokshada Patil's story

IPS officer Mokshada Patil, a 2011-batch officer now serving as a DIG, took action against a festival practice involving trucks and tractors decorated with swords, daggers and air guns while posted as SP in Washim in 2017. Two years later, the vehicles carried flowers instead. Raised in Thane, Patil is also known as the 'Lady Singham of Maharashtra'.
