FSSAI shares video showing a test to check if chilli powder is adulterated

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) in a video explained a test to check adulteration in red chilli powder. It involves adding a spoonful of chilli powder to water and examining the residue by rubbing it on the palm. Residue's grittiness implies the presence of brick powder while soapy residue shows the presence of soapstone, FSSAI said.
