Nikkei, the Japanese parent of Financial Times, announced it's acquiring a majority stake in DealStreetAsia, a Singapore-based financial news site founded by Indian journalist Joji Thomas Philip in 2014. Nikkei bought shares from existing investors including Paytm Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and US investor Jim Rogers. Indian business daily Mint and Philip continue to be minority shareholders.
