The Mangaluru City Crime Branch arrested a fugitive accused in a fake currency case on Sunday, bringing relief to the police force that had been tracking him for months. The accused, identified as Nizamuddin alias Nizam (33), is a resident of BC Road, Bantwal, Dakshina Kannada. Police sources stated that he was arrested at Valalu near Uppinangady, Karnataka on August 25.
