Indian Railways on Friday revised the child fare rule, making children above five years of age eligible for full fare instead of half, on reservation of a berth from April 2016. No change has been made regarding the rules for unreserved tickets. Currently, Railways charges half fare on tickets for children aged between 5-12 years.
