Kishore Biyani-led Future Retail, which runs the Big Bazaar chain of stores, missed the due date of December 31, 2021, to pay ₹3,494.56 crore to various consortium banks and lenders. The company said it missed the due date "due to ongoing litigation with Amazon". Future Retail would be co-operating with banks and lenders for payment in the next 30 days.
