Former cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has filed a defamation case before Delhi High Court against Punjab Kesari seeking damages of ₹2 crore. Gambhir sued the daily, stating that it published numerous malicious and libelous articles "systematically" targeting him. The title of one of the articles read, "Delhi's missing MP becomes Bhasmasur for Lucknow Super Giants".
