BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed that the Gandhi family contests elections where the Muslim population is 30% or more as they feel safe there. "Priyanka Gandhi ran away to Wayanad because she knows her brother Rahul Gandhi contested from there and got 90% of Muslim votes," he added. He stated Priyanka is trying to win Wayanad by-polls on Muslim votes.
