Ganesha idol adorned with ₹2.41 cr worth currency notes in Andhra

A Ganesh idol in Andhra Pradesh's Mangalagiri was adorned with currency notes worth ₹2.41 crore during Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. The tradition, organised by SBG Youth, began nearly two decades ago with ₹10 lakh. Around 100 local traders and their families collect and exchange old notes for new ones, which are used to decorate the idol.
