One person was killed and 38 are still missing after an avalanche of garbage, earth and debris buried and trapped workers at a landfill in the Philippines' Cebu city on Thursday afternoon, authorities said on Friday. At least 13 workers were rescued overnight. It is still unclear if the incident also involved the nearby residents and others.
