The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued type certification for Garuda Aerospace's indigenously-designed Kisan drone. "[We're] India's first drone startup to receive both type certification and remote pilot training organisation (RTPO) approvals," the firm said. Under India's Drone Rules 2021, it's mandatory to get type certification to operate a drone in the country.
