World number three tennis player Coco Gauff was knocked out of the 2025 Australian Open after losing to 12th-ranked Paula Badosa in the quarter-final of the women's singles event. Badosa registered a straight-set win against Gauff (7-5, 6-4) to advance to her maiden Grand Slam semi-finals. This was Badosa's first win against a top-10 player in a Grand Slam event.
