Infosys Founder Narayana Murthy, speaking on 'The Record', recalled he once gave an eight-hour lecture, which was supposed to last an hour, to get a contract for Data General's MV/8000 from MICO in 1982. Murthy said he discussed quantitative method of analysing a super minicomputer's architecture. My competitors couldn't answer computer-related questions I posed to MICO executives, he added.
