On September 30, 2025, GE Aerospace delivered its fourth GE-F404-IN20 engine to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), fulfilling part of the 2021 contract. The engines will power LCA Mark 1A fighter jets, soon to join the Indian Air Force. Under the agreement, GE must supply 99 engines, bolstering India’s defence production and indigenous aviation capacity.
