Louisville-based GE Appliances announced that it would reduce 4% of its global workforce amid facing challenges in the industry of conservative consumer spending and higher interest rates. The GE Appliances layoffs will affect roughly 2,700 employees at GE Appliance Park at Louisville, Kentucky.
