On May 26, 2022, Geetanjali Shree got her name written down in the history books for becoming the first-ever Indian to win the International Booker Prize for her Hindi novel, 'Tomb of Sand.' Shree is the first one to win it for a book that was originally written in Hindi and later translated into English by Daisy Rockwell.
