US-based software firm Palantir Technologies' billionaire CEO Alex Karp told Reuters that generative AI like OpenAI's ChatGPT could have military applications. "The idea that an autonomous thing could generate results is basically obviously useful for war," Karp said. He further added that the country that advances the fastest in AI capabilities is "going to define the law of the land".
