Genetics, lifestyle, pollution drive cancer risk in India: Expert

Every year, nearly 5 lakh people in India are diagnosed with cancer. While tobacco increases risk, many non-users also develop cancer due to other hidden causes.Tata Memorial Centre expert Dr Suyash Kulkarni says genetics, lifestyle, pollution and delayed screening play key roles, adding that early diagnostic tests can detect cancer in time.
