The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has fined Genshin Impact publisher Cognosphere $20 million for misleading buyers into spending excessive amounts of money. The company has been ordered to prevent minors under 16 from making purchases without parental consent. Additionally, Cognosphere is accused of violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act by improperly collecting data from minors.
