Following news that Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC will acquire a 74% stake in Jaipur-based Genus Power Infrastructures' new smart metering solutions venture for $2 billion, the latter's shares surged 20% and also hit a 52-week high on BSE. The stock also hit a 52-week high on NSE. Genus is a manufacturer of smart electricity meters.
