Georgia to abolish compulsory military service for men

The nation of Georgia is reportedly abolishing conscription, wherein men are compulsorily required to serve in the military. Georgia's Defence Minister Tina Khidasheli signed the order on Monday, saying those men who do not want to serve in the military will not be forced to. Georgia is now one of two former Soviet states where the practice is currently abolished.
