German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said the start of US President Donald Trump's second term marked a rupture in German foreign relations. "Just as I believe there'll be no going back in relations with Russia...so too...there will be no going back in transatlantic relations to before," Steinmeier said. He criticised US policy and termed Iran war as violation of international law.
