German town orders evacuation as Belgian wildfire rages near border

Residents of the German town of Monschau were ordered to evacuate on Sunday as a major wildfire in Belgium spread near the Germany-Belgium border. Officials evacuated two streets, citing the advancing flames, heavy smoke and weather conditions. The blaze was just 1.8 km from the nearest inhabited area. Monschau has around 12,000 residents.
