Germany is facing a severe shortage of skilled workers, with 530,000 vacancies, as per the German Economic Institute. A EURES report highlights that more than 70 occupations are facing shortages, including dental assistants, nurses, medical technicians, and physiotherapists. A 2023 Destatis study also found that 12% of doctors in German hospitals are foreign workers.
