According to a report, Germany produced so much renewable energy on Sunday that commercial energy consumers were paid to use electricity for a certain period of time. The price of power became negative, reaching -€130 (about -$148) per MWh at 1 pm, with wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants supplying about 87% of the energy being consumed.
