In a rare incident, a giant frog was found in April by the villagers of the Solomon Islands. The frog, nearly as big as a human baby and weighing almost a kilogram, was found by locals during a hunting expedition. The frog is believed to be a Cornufer guppyi frog, a species in the family of Ceratobatrachidae.
