Oregon State University volcanologists warn that the Axial Seamount, an underwater volcano in the Pacific Ocean, may erupt before the end of 2025. The volcano, located about 482 km off the Oregon coast, has been inflating since January and is showing unrest. Seismometers detected over 2,000 earthquakes in a single day in June.
