Two sisters, aged two and four, died in Rajasthan's Dausa after their family took them to a 'baba' (quack) instead of a hospital for getting their snake bites treated. The 'baba' hit the girls' heads with brooms and gave them ritualistic ashes for three hours. After the girls showed no signs of improvement, their family took them to a hospital.
