A notification published on February 27 by West Bengal higher education department asked candidates applying for jobs to provide medical certificates detailing "function of ovaries and uterus" for female candidates. Male candidates' certificates must state "girth of chest", said the circular. It also asked if applicants are originally residents of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal or any other country.
