A huge chunk of a glacier in the Swiss Alps broke off on Wednesday, burying 90% of Blatten village. The village had been evacuated some days ago because of fears the Birch glacier was disintegrating, however, officials said that one person was missing. Blatten's mayor said "the unimaginable has happened" but promised that the village still had a future.
