World’s military expenditure reached ₹271.79 lakh crore in 2025, with US, China, Russia, Germany and India as top five spenders. US expenditure stood at ₹89.81 lakh crore, China spent ₹31.63 lakh crores, Russia spent ₹17.89 lakh crore, Germany spent ₹17.89 lakh crore, while India's spending was ₹8.67 lakh crore. UK, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia ranked sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.
