GMR’s Alluri Sitarama Raju Int'l Airport begins commercial ops

GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport has commenced commercial operations, connecting North Andhra Pradesh with domestic, Middle East and Southeast Asian destinations. IndiGo launched Hyderabad & Abu Dhabi services, while Scoot began Singapore flights. It recorded 52 planned air traffic movements on day-1. The new facility is expected to boost regional connectivity, trade and economic growth.
