Goa plans massive overhaul of rent-a-car industry
The Goa government is preparing new rules to overhaul the state's rent-a-car industry, with a proposed minimum fleet of 50 motor cabs for operators. At least half would need to be air-conditioned, while businesses would also require valid permits, insurance, fitness certificates and adequate private parking. Operators could be required to establish offices in at least five tourist locations.
