Goa Police book man in foreign tourist rape case

Goa Police have registered an FIR against a man accused of raping a 45-year-old foreign tourist in Mandrem. The woman allegedly met him through social media before meeting at a beach and consuming alcohol in a room. Police data show Goa recorded 922 rape and sexual assault cases involving women aged 5 to 70 between 2021 and 2025.
