A cartoon depicting Goddess Kali tweeted from Ukraine's Defence Ministry's account was criticised in India, with Senior Advisor in the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Kanchan Gupta, calling it an "assault on Hindu sentiments around the world". "Instead of deriding Kali Ma, try seeking her blessings to fight off evil," said Indian journalist Shubhangi Sharma. The cartoon was deleted later.
