A self-proclaimed godman was arrested in Pune for allegedly cheating a man of ₹2.51 lakh by promising to cure his father's thyroid cancer, police said. Manohar Bhosale alias Manohar Mama gave the victim Shashikant Kharat babool leaves as a cure for his father's thyroid cancer, police added. The accused reportedly threatened to kill Shashikant when he demanded his money back.
