Gold, silver prices fall sharply on MCX ahead of Dhanteras

Gold futures for December delivery on MCX fell over ₹1,300 per 10 grams to ₹1,38,806 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, silver futures dropped more than ₹5,000 per kg to ₹1,78,624. The decline in precious metal prices comes ahead of Dhanteras, as weakness in international bullion prices ahead of the US midterm election results weighed on investor sentiment.
