Gold gets cheaper for first time in a week in India

The price of gold fell for the first time after rising for four days in a row in India, as per IBJA data. Gold settled at ₹1,47,767 per 10 grams on Wednesday, ₹706 lower than its closing price on Tuesday. The price of silver, which saw heightened volatility over the past week, also fell by ₹1,954 to ₹2,20,866 per kilogram.
