Gold prices inched higher on Thursday as escalating Middle East tensions boosted safe-haven demand. Spot gold briefly climbed above $5,000 an ounce but retreated as a firmer dollar and cautious Fed signals capped gains. Silver rose 1.5%, while oil prices also climbed amid Iran's military drills and US naval movements in the region.
