Gold investment hasn't helped India's economy: BlackRock's Fink

Larry Fink, CEO of world's largest asset manager BlackRock, said the investment by Indians in gold hasn't helped the country's economy. "The commodity has underperformed the Indian stock market, proving a subpar investment for individual investors," he added. "When I visited India in November, I met policymakers who lamented their fellow citizens' fondness for gold," he said.
