The Kersh al-Feel mine in eastern Sudan collapsed over the weekend, killing 11 miners. The Sudanese Mineral Resources Limited Company said that another seven workers have been injured and transferred to a hospital. The company added that it had stopped excavation and reiterated its warning to informal miners against working at the site.
