Gold prices hit fresh record highs for the fourth straight session as investors flocked to safe havens amid US rate-cut hopes and geopolitical tensions. MCX February gold rose 1% to ₹1,39,550 per 10 grams, up 81% in 2025. Silver also surged, with March futures jumping 5.1% to a record ₹2,35,247 per kg.
