Gold prices surge 60% in one year

Gold prices have surged around 60% over the past year. In Mumbai’s spot market, gold was trading at ₹1.57 lakh per 10 grams on Monday, including 3% GST, compared with ₹98,000 on Ganesh Chaturthi last year, reported the Economic Times. Meanwhile, 24-carat gold in Delhi was priced at ₹1,54,900 per 10 grams.
