Golden Temple in Amritsar has been illuminated on the occasion of Bandi Chhor Divas. In pictures that surfaced online, devotees can be seen lighting earthen lamps and candles at the temple. Bandi Chhor Divas is celebrated to mark the historical release of the sixth Sikh guru, Guru Hargobind, from the Mughal prison along with 52 kings in early 17th century.
