Google Cloud "misconfiguration" led to the deletion of Australia's UniSuper pension fund's private account, Google and UniSuper revealed. UniSuper, which has $125 billion in funds under management, was able to eventually restore services because the fund had backups in place with another provider. Google Cloud CEO, Thomas Kurian apologised to the fund's members for the "one-of-a-kind occurrence".
