Google has admitted that a video showing multimodal capabilities of its newly launched AI model Gemini was staged. It showed Gemini's ability to track a ball of paper from under a cup and to infer a connect-the-dots picture and respond within seconds. However, Google said the demo was made "using still image frames from the footage, and prompting via text".
