Google changes salary, ratings structure to reward top performers

Google is changing its compensation structure and ratings system to incentivise top-performing employees, BI reported. Managers would be able to allocate the "Outstanding Impact" score to more employees than previously, resulting in more opportunities for bonus and equity. Google is also increasing discretionary budget for managers to reward high performers within the 'Significant Impact' rating.
