Google on Thursday introduced 'Groundsource', an AI-powered tool that can predict flash floods in urban areas up to 24 hours in advance. 'Groundsource' used Gemini to analyse public reports of past flood events to curate a dataset, used to train the new model that can forecast flash floods, Google said. It identified 2.6 million such historical events spanning 150 countries.
