Google's recent layoffs reportedly affected at least five company veterans who had played key roles in developing its digital advertising business, Bloomberg reported. Three of the executives had shifted to Google after its acquisition of ad-tech firm DoubleClick in 2008, the report said. In January, Google announced it was laying off around 12,000 employees globally.
